Folk Art Dolls 6, 7, and 8 | 2024

Dolls 6, 7 and 8 are likely the last dolls in this style for some time. Each of these dolls has a simple joint structure and a carved wooden head that is fitted to the toros as a wood plug. The snug fit allows the heat to rotate.

Doll 6 is inspired by a gentlemanly british officer of the 18th century. He totes a powdered wig and a sword rather than a rifle and shotpouch. The head is tilted back slightly, giving him a look of superiority when viewed.

Doll 7 is a commoner from the time, his brown wig shows a desire for staus. each of these dolls have a different hip structure than my previous dolls. The two cut outs for the hips on these dolls is more accurate to toys of the 18th century.

This doll also carries a pouch, horn. A small powder measure hangs from the bag.

Doll 8 is taller than Dolls 6 and 7. It wears a green coat and long pants. This doll has painted on natural hair and ears instead of the carved wig. Hallowed cheeks match the lanky proportions of this doll. It carries a rifle, pouch, horn and powder measure.
