Weekends in the woodshed

In this painting, the tired knight featured in my previous watercolor planes an old board in his workshop.

There’s nothing quite like waking up early on the weekend and going into the woodshed to work with old pine and hand tools. With lumber prices soaring due to COVID 19 complications, I’ve taken to repurposing some of the old growth southern yellow pine and turning it into trim for our old farmhouse.
