The Old Shop- Sketchbook Study

A late winter day at the red shop.

My father timber-framed this shop when I was a small child. It's been the subject of several drawings over the years as it holds many of my earliest memories. It's in this shop that I first learned to use tools and carve wood.

We later built on to extend it to the West and attached an old garage that was on the property to become the "Evaporator House" for when we made our own Maple Syrup.

While it’s not the angle used for the drawing, I hope this gives you an idea of the unique character of the building.
